I designed these pretty blue Tide Pool save the dates for a married couple who had eloped but were planning a reception after the wedding to celebrate with family and friends back in Annapolis, Maryland. We decided on the wording "Save the Date for the marriage celebration of..." and the bride and groom's married name and then the venue information and time.
The original design of this save the date had green text and envelopes, but I think the blue they picked is a great alternative and perfect for a nautical wedding. The tide pool pictured comes from an antique french scientific illustration of the shells found on a cruise of scientific discovery in the 19th century. Now they've been saved from obscurity and reinvented as these cool invitations!
